Who Cares?!

Can someone please tell me what the huge freaking deal is with all this…..

So Miley Cyrus has been in the news for almost a month straight since performing on the VMA’s and I truly cannot fathom why. All the reports say she has lost her mind or she is becoming a skank…Why just because she is letting her freak flag fly a little? That doesn’t seem to me like a reason to have a story about it on the nation news. Does anyone agree? Everyone is slamming her so hard (I was also one of those people for a small bit there) for what she wears, the content of her music and how “weird” she has started to act. Why does everyone care so much about a young woman doing what she wants?

       Because she went from this to this?

How many young girls do you see change when they get older? Girls eventually move on from playing Barbies with their friends to playing in makeup, to wearing a thong and chasing boys. So how is she any different form every other Average Joe? Because she is famous! (Spoken in my most whiny, blah voice I can muster). So she is famous, she still buys toothpaste and pays an electric bill! Lets take a second really fast to state the obvious…

1. Brittany Spears- She wore next to nothing in most of her videos that I watched growing up. She got photographed how many times getting out of a car without panties on? Got all kinds of bad press when she went nuts and shaved her head. Where is she now? FILTHY RICH WITH A NEW ALBUM AND WE STILL LOVE HER.
2. Rihanna- She started out a cute little singer from Barbados and what happened to her? She started dating a dick of a dude, got her face beaten in, showed everyone that stars are in some ways just like everyone else, took it as a strength, lost most of her clothes and where is she now?  FAMOUS, RICH AND STILL RUNNING THE MUSIC WORLD
3. Kim Kardashian- Totally famous for doing absolutely nothing (Hate to say that because yea I do watch her show lol). She is famous for her huge butt, a sex tape with Ray-J and to be honest I had no clue who she was until Keeping Up With The Kardashians came on TV. Same with her who cares that she got married and it only lasted 72 Days!? That wasn’t national news in my book either. Where is she now? FILTHY RICH, WITH MULTIPLE MERCHENDISE LINES, SEVERAL TV SHOWS AND BABY MAMMA TO KANYE WEST.

What do all three of these people have in common? They are all famous and have done more “raunchy” things than little Ms. Miley! If you have watched her Bio movie on MTV, Miley: The Movement she flat out tells you she isn’t the little girl that played Hanna Montana anymore and she is breaking out and being the person she wants to be, doing the things she wants to do. Why should she hold back from doing what she wants when there are other celebs like Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and Madonna that have always gone out and done as they pleased while pushing the envelops.

I look at it like this:

If you don’t want to see it, DONT WATCH IT!

If you don’t want to endorse it, DONT BUY IT!

If you don’t want to hear it, DONT LISTEN TO IT!

Its not like anyone is being forced to be a part of her career. There is no reason why is should be all over the cover of newspapers, on the national news or any of that. There are plenty of more important things to be on them, like the U.S economy/Government going to hell.
